TERRESTRIAL - MODERATELY DRY - MEDIUM VENTILATION
A. KLUGII - "MONTENEGRO"
CURRENTLY BREEDING

These striking, terrestrial isopods are native to the Balkans. They can be fickle as they are beautiful, but under the right conditions, they will thrive. This species is best kept very dry on half of the enclosure, with the last third of it being lightly damp moss. It's easy to keep the humidity too high for them, so using a dry substrate is the best way to go.

TERRESTRIAL - MODERATELY DRY - HIGH VENTILATION
A. MACULATUM - "ZEBRA"

12 PCS. - $30

Native to the Mediterranian, this species does best kept moderately dry, with a moist moss patch on one side. These isopods are heavy calcium consumers and benefit greatly from having constant access to calcium in their enclosure.

TERRESTRIAL - MODERATELY DRY - MODERATE VENTILATION
A. NASATUM - "PEACH"

12 PCS. - $30

This species can be very prolific for an armadillidium, in my experience. Small, but hardy isopods, with a love of protein, these are some of the best armadillidium clean-up crew you can find.

CURRENTLY BREEDING

This locality of A. vulgare comes in a stunning array of colors and is a great isopod if you like variety. They have almost identical care requirements as their 'Wild Type' cousin. Once established, they reproduce moderately fast, and will not nibble on soft-bodied animals (so long as they are not eaten first).

TERRESTRIAL - MODERATELY HUMID - MODERATE VENTILATION
A. VULGARE - "WILD TYPE"

CURRENTLY BREEDING

People might know these as rollie-pollies, just a common pill-bug, but they are actually very pretty isopods. They can come in a huge variety of colors (grey, yellow, orange) and patterns. Once established, they reproduce moderately fast, and will not nibble on soft-bodied animals (so long as they are not eaten first). They do prefer a moist hide but can adapt to most temperate conditions.
