ONISCUS ASELLUS - "MAPLE"
CURRENTLY BREEDING

This is a color morph that is uncommon in the wild, but does naturally occur. This specific strain is currently being cultivated from wild specimens found in our backyard! Hopefully, we will soon have a happy culture of homegrown O. asellus Maple.

TERRESTRIAL - HIGH HUMIDITY - LOW VENTILATION
ONISCUS ASELLUS - "WILD"
12 PCS. - sale $10
(usually $20)
O. asellus is commonly found in very humid places, such as rotting logs or near bodies of water. Because of this they seem to thrive in high humidity enclosures better than most isopods. This is a large isopod (similar to P. laevis), but definitely not as protein hungry.

TRICHONISCUS SP. - "DWARF PURPLE"
CULTURE (APPR. 20) - SALE $7.50
(USUALLY $15)

Dwarf Purple isopods are fantastic for almost any setup! As long as you provide them a damp spot in the enclosure and about 1" or more of substrate, these little guys will thrive. These tiny isopods spend most of their time underneath the soil, and for this reason, they do well in insectivore enclosures!

FOSSORIAL - HIGH HUMIDITY - LOW VENTILATION
COLLEMBOLA Bilobella - "Orange SPRINGTAIL"
CULTURE (APPR. 20) - $60

Folsomia Candida - "Temperate White Springtail"
CULTURE (APPR. 20) - sALE $5
(uSUALLY $10)

Springtails are essential for most bioactive setups and are the best at taking care of mold and fungus build-up in the substrate. Keeping these alongside isopods is a surefire way to increase stability in your bioactive enclosure. Just make sure to have a moist patch in the tank, alongside some charcoal (included in the culture as an egg-laying site) and they should multiply very quickly!
